I did it!
I ran my first 5K (3.1 miles) ever on Saturday at the Go St. Louis Weekend Event! Being my first race I wasn't sure what to expect...I started getting a little tired around the 2.5 mile but hung in there coming in at 31 minutes and 40 seconds! In my final seconds of the race a 12 year old boy started passing me so I raced him to the finish line, I guess my competitiveness kick in, however he still beat me.
